Can I use my credit card before filing for bankruptcy?

Tuesday mid-afternoon , March 17, 2009.

That’s a definite no, no.

Do not use any credit cards after initiating a consultation with your bankruptcy attorney or once you have decided to file for bankruptcy. If your statement shows charges or cash advances for the months preceding filing bankruptcy, the credit card company may file an adversary complaint alleging that you incurred recent charges with fraudulent intent and without the intent and/or ability to repay these debts.
